The exhibition
“Remixing Dream” is Sifang Art Museum’s first art exhibition situated in Nanjing’s city center. Based on cartographic fieldwork conducted at the public space IST Mall, which serves as both the site of the exhibition and the topological subject, “Remixing Dream” brings together 11 Chinese and international artists/artist groups, featuring work spanning across installation, video, painting, sculpture, interactive media, and CGI animation.
The works are set in an exhibition space created by participating artist and guest designer Duyi Han. Responding to the cacophony of stimuli provided by the surrounding cosmopolitan cityscape of downtown Nanjing, the exhibition acts like a cosmological cave, an emotive environment immersing the individual in a surreal space, providing the opportunity to collectively contemplate the various dreamscapes.
